Sample Collection

Exploring Knitting and Weaving Techniques

This project is about textile design through construction. I spent three weeks each learning the basics of knitting and weaving. After some theoretical input, I started working on the loom and knitting machine (Passap Duomatic 80, E6000).

In collaboration with Alva Jeker, we developed a concept based on the theme of "checks and stripes." This process involved creating a color concept, selecting materials and defining the context for application and the target group. Within the framework of our theme, I produced a large number of samples using various techniques.

The final product of the project is a lookbook, showcasing the textile sample collection through photographic presentation on the body and in a suitable setting.
